About Bridging Open Work Permit Bridging open work permit is a work permit for applicants who applied for their permanent residency and will expire in the next 4 months. Before the expiry of the work permit, they can apply for the open work permit which is called Bridging open work (BOWP) to restore their valid status in Canada.
